What is a Proposition 65 warning?

You may have seen the following warning associated with our products, as well as on other products purchased from other manufacturers:

WARNING: This product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.

Prop 65 is a CA regulation that requires warnings for any products that contain one of the chemicals listed in the proposition.  In our case, it's heavy metals that are found in the soil, water and occur in nature.  Everything that is grown from the earth will not meet the standards, including a bowl of salad.  However, food does not require this label. Only dietary supplements.  

The warning does not mean that our products will necessarily cause cancer or reproductive harm. A Proposition 65 warning also does not mean a product is in violation of any product-safety standards or requirements. In fact, the California government has clarified that “the fact that a product bears a Proposition 65 warning does not mean by itself that the product is unsafe.” The government has also explained, “You could think of Proposition 65 more as a ‘right to know’ law than a pure product safety law.” See http://oehha.ca.gov/prop65/background/p65plain.html.

While we believe our products are not harmful when used as designed, we provide the warning as a result of this California law.

What is Proposition 65?

Proposition 65 is a broad law that applies to any company operating in California, selling products in California, or manufacturing products that may be sold in or brought into California. It mandates that the Governor of California maintain and publish a list of chemicals that are known to cause cancer, birth defects and/or other reproductive harm. The list, which must be updated annually, includes a wide variety of chemicals that can be found in many everyday items, such as dyes, solvents, drugs, food-additives, by-products of certain processes, pesticides and tobacco products. The purpose of Proposition 65 is to ensure that people are informed about exposure to these chemicals.

Proposition 65 also requires warnings to be placed on any product, product packaging, or literature accompanying a product that contains or may contain any of the 800-plus chemicals that the California Air Resources Board considers harmful. As noted above, many of the elements listed under Proposition 65 have been routinely used in everyday consumer items for years without documented harm.

A warning must be given if the listed chemical is merely present in a product unless a business demonstrates that the exposure it causes poses "no significant risk." With respect to carcinogens, the "no significant risk" level is defined as the level which is calculated to result in not more than one excess case of cancer in 100,000 individuals exposed over a 70-year lifetime. In other words, if you are exposed to the chemical in question at this level every day for 70 years, theoretically, it will increase your chances of getting cancer by at least 1 case in 100,000 individuals so exposed.

With respect to reproductive toxicants, the "no significant risk" level is defined as the level of exposure which, even if multiplied by 1,000, will not produce birth defects or other reproductive harm. In other words, the level of exposure is below the "no observable effect level," divided by 1,000. (The "no observable effect level" is the highest dose level which has not been associated with observable reproductive harm in humans or test animals.)

A Proposition 65 warning generally means one of two things: (1) the business has evaluated the exposure and has concluded that it exceeds the "no significant risk level"; or (2) the business has chosen to provide a warning simply based on its knowledge about the presence of a listed chemical without attempting to evaluate the exposure. Neurohacker has chosen to provide a warning based on its knowledge about the presence of one or more listed chemicals without attempting to evaluate the level of exposure, as not all of the listed chemicals provide exposure limit requirements. With Neurohacker Collective products, the exposure may be negligible or well within the “no significant risk” range. However, out of an abundance of caution, Neurohacker Collective has elected to provide the Proposition 65 warnings.

Why does Neurohacker Collective include this warning?

The penalties for not complying with Proposition 65 are high. As a result of the potential penalties and because there is no penalty for providing an unnecessary warning, Neurohacker, as well as many other manufacturers, have elected to provide the Proposition 65 notice out of an abundance of caution in order to avoid the potential for liability.

I purchased this product outside of California; why is it included?

Our products are sold nationwide. It would be extremely difficult and costly to determine which products will be ultimately sold or brought into California. Therefore, to ensure compliance with Proposition 65 requirements, we have decided to include these warnings on all of our products, regardless of origin.

We are committed to going above and beyond industry standards and FDA requirements for safety and quality.

Our manufacturing facilities are certified by GMP/ ISO 9000 quality management standards, using the industry best for our airtight seals, desiccants, and equipment. We receive and review a COA (certificate of Analysis) for each batch of every raw ingredient coming in, conducted using HPLC (high performance liquid chromatography) and MS (mass spectrometry).

As a secondary measure, we open every 100th bottle and verify that the ingredients in the capsules matches the manufacturer’s Certificate of Analysis (CoA).

We do small manufacturing batches of our products, reducing the amount of time between manufacture and delivery to optimize freshness. We focus on these dimensions when choosing our ingredients:

Science: All our ingredients are chosen based on the strong empirical basis of their safety and effectiveness. We take into account several kinds of research, and over 40+ years international research on nootropic stack formulation.

Sourcing: We use only top quality ingredients. Many come from patented sources and are considered best in class.

We are working with our community to give them early access and input into our product formulation and testing.  Relying on community feedback and data collection from wearable sensors and technology, we can gather your input and experiences about the products we are working on.

The supplement industry is indeed the “Wild West” and there are a lot of snake oil salesmen out there with false claims and no ethical standards. Part of what inspired the creation of Neurohacker Collective was in response to this exact problem.

The many elements, such as the Metatron's cube, OmAhOm, the flower of life and transmutation circles that make up elements of the logo have different histories and traditions behind them but also share some similarities such as multiple elements all being connected to one another and the power to focus energy and transform one element into another.

Symbols and Elements:

Metatron's Cube:

Metatron’s Cube is composed of 13 spheres held together by lines from the midpoint of each sphere.

The spheres of Metatron’s Cube represent the ‘Feminine’ whilst the straight lines represent the ‘Masculine’. Thus Metatron’s Cube represents the weaving together of the Male & Female polarities to create the ONENESS field of the infinite ALL.

Metatron’s Cube is a sacred Sacred Geometrical symbol that forms a map of Creation and it is this ‘map’ that the mystics, sages and ancient civilizations have revered throughout the ages of time. [1]

Some ancient traditions claim Metatron was the highest angel. It is also said that Metatron served as a celestial scribe and that he wrote down God’s words.[2]  In Egyptian mythology he was Thoth the Scribe.[2] Other traditions and texts claim Metatron was born as a man, Enoch, and ascended to heaven, taken by God. [3]

Metatron's Cube shares 2-D resonance with the Flower of Life.

The Flower of Life also has thirteen circles. If each circle's center is considered a "node", and each node is connected to each other node with a single line, a total of seventy-eight lines are created. Within this cube, many other shapes can be found, including two-dimensionally flattened versions of the five platonic solids.[4]

It is considered by some to be a symbol of sacred geometry, said to contain ancient, religious value depicting the fundamental forms of space and time. In this sense, it is a visual expression of the connections life weaves through all sentient beings.

Leonardo da Vinci studied the Flower of Life form and its mathematical properties. He drew the Flower of Life itself, as well as various components such as the Seed of Life. He drew geometric figures representing shapes such as the platonic solids, a sphere, a torus, etc., and also used the golden ratio of phi in his artwork; all of which may be derived from the Flower of Life design. [4]

The 13 circles that make up the framework for Metatron’s cube also have different interpretations and histories with different traditions.

Some traditions reference the 13 archangels of creation while others point to them representing the 13 energy centers and help bring balance to a particular Element or Elements and hence transcend dis-ease and co-create health, vitality and well-being.  These thirteen elements are also referenced as the 13 sacred keys of the OmAhOm that hold the principles of evolution and the pathways to enlightenment.

OmAhOm

The OmAhOm symbol is created by the 12 pointed Stellated Dodecahedron (through the 13th central point), is the vehicle that supports our conscious connection with the 13 Spheres of Metatron’s Cube and reinforces the connection of all things.[5]

The interpretation of OmAhOm translates to:

I honour the Divine Love that exists within YOU
within ME and within ALL of CREATION
WE ARE ALL ONE

Transmutation Circles:

Transmutation circles in alchemy were believed to have the power to transform one element into another.  There are many variations of the transmutation circles and what they were created for.

The Seal of Solomon

In alchemy, the combination of the fire and water symbols (up and down triangles) is known as the Seal of Solomon. The symbol is representative of the combination of opposites and transmutation. By combining the alchemical symbols for fire (upwards triangle) and water (downwards triangle), the alchemical symbols for earth and air are also created. The downwards facing triangle is divided along the center by the baseline of the opposite triangle. This is the alchemical symbol for earth. Conversely, the upwards triangle divided by the baseline of the downwards triangle is the alchemical symbol for air. The Seal of Solomon is all that is unified in perfect balance; the Spirit Wheel.[6]

Squaring the circle was another major part of Renaissance alchemic ideas. It was believed that this symbol plus a man and a woman in the circle was all that was needed to create a philosopher's stone. [7]

Fullmetal Alchemists Transmutation Circle

Made popular by the anime Fullmetal Alchemist who borrows elements from sacred geometry and combines those with ancient symbols and texts from alchemist traditions they created their version of the transmutation circle. [8][9]

In that series lore, there are two rules that and alchemist must follow: transmuting gold and trying to bring someone back from the dead is not allowed.

NOTE: Neurohacker does not endorse trying to bring people back from the dead.  It’s best to just focus your energy on being the best version of you.
